FC Bayern got the job done in Munich, sealing the first quarterfinal victory against Unics with 83-75.
Thanks to Devin Booker’s 16-point performance (7/6 FG and 7 rebounds), the hosts called the shots even in the most crucial minutes, as Unics trimmed the double-digit deficit.
Quino Colom tried to save the day for the Russian side (he finished with 22 points), yet Vladimir Lucic (14 points) was there to seal the deal by hitting score from the arc with 37 seconds to go.
Jamar Smith’s quick answer (81-75) came in late, as the German side saved its safety net for the remainder of the game.
