Same as in the Game 1, a huge run in the second quarter pushed Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar to another win against Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia (79-69).
With this win, the Russian side sealed their ticket to the final of the 7Days Eurocup where they will meet Darussafaka Dogus. This was the 20th straight win for Lokomotiv as they made to the finals without a single loss in the competition.
With an 11-0 run during the second quarter, Lokomotiv made a statement that they have no plans to allow Reggio Emilia to think about a potential comeback.
Frank Elegar with 11 and Mardy Collins with 10 points in the first 20 minutes were calling the shots for “Loko” and built a 39-26 lead. Rebounding domination in the first half by the visitors was one of the key factors. Lokomotiv grabbed 24 boards, 14 more than the hosts had (10).
In the second half, Collins and Elegar also got the job done. Collins finished the game with 22 points while grabbing eight rebounds. Elegar was one board away from the double-double as he had 19 points and nine rebounds.
James White had 14 points for the losing side, but that was far from enough against Lokomotiv.
