David Blatt commented on his team’s victory in the first EuroCup final of the season.
“Besides the fact that we didn’t defensive rebound well, which was very much a part of the game plan, I thought we did the things that we wanted to do. We missed some things, which is natural; the other guys are playing also and they are going to make plays”, Blatt mentions.
Despite Darussafaka’s misfortunes, Blatt was happy with the outcome: “We won a game gave up 20 offensive rebounds, shot only 26% from three and missed 10 free throws, so there is some encouraging news that we found ways to play our game and bring them to the point where they were under pressure”.
“The home team in a first game is always the team with the monkey on their back and we brought the game to that point and we were able to steal it”, he concludes.
