Oktay Mahmuti was hired by Galatasaray on January, but today the collaboration of the Turkish coach with the club has ended.
Mahmuti decided to use the opt-out clause in his contract and leave. Galatasaray wasn’t moving on the market as the coach expected to and there seems to be a rift between him and part of the club’s board. According to Eurohoops sources, Mahmuti was paid only one salary since his hiring. That’s why he earned the right to terminate his contract and he will fight in order to get fully compensated for his contract, including his next season’s salary.
Μeanwhile, Galatasaray needs to find a new coach for the upcoming season.
