Fiat Turin started preparing for the upcoming 2018-19 season as they officially added veteran Marco Cusin and a young prospect Simon Ikechukwu Jr. Anumba.
Fiat Turin added size and experience in the paint with the signing of center Marco Cusin for the coming season. Cusin (2.11 meters, 33 years old) arrives from AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan, with which he won the Italian League championship last season. He played a limited role in six Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances for Milan. In the Italian League, Cusin posted 2.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 22 games. He has spent his entire career in his native Italy, starting his career with Pallacanestro Trieste before suiting up for Angelico Biella, Carife Ferrara, Indesit Fabriano, Vanoli Soresina, Vanoli Cremona, Scavolini Pesaro, Pallacanestro Cantu, Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari and Scandone Avellino. He has also been a member of the Italian national team. Cusin has won the Italian SuperCup with Cantu in 2013 and Sassari in 2015. He played in the first season on the EuroCup, then known as the ULEB Cup, with Trieste in 2002-03.
Fiat Turin signed promising swingman Simon Ikechukwu Jr. Anumba for the coming season, the club announced Monday. Anumba (21 years old, 1.94 meters) is an Italian-born guard of Nigerian decent. He played for Treofan Battipaglia in the Italian second division last season and averaged 13.0 points and 7.1 rebounds in 29 games. Before that he spent two seasons with the Manchester Magic in England. Anumba is a product of the youth system at Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia.
