Iberostar Tenerife did not match the offer sheet that Valencia Basket presented for Mike Tobey and so the American center will play with Valencia next season.
Tobey, 23, signed with Tenerife last season and had a solid year with the Spanish team. In the 2017-2018 Spanish League season, he averaged 11.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
This will be Tobey’s second run with Valencia, as he last played for the team in 2017 and was crowned Spanish League champion. He has also played in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets, but his journey was short.
