Unicaja Malaga has agreed to a three-year deal with combo guard Jaime Fernandez, per the club’s Wednesday announcement.
25-year-old Fernandez arrives from Morabanc Andorra, where he tapped an average of 9.2 points and 3.2 assists in 10 7DAYS EuroCup games last season.
Fernandez joined Andorra from Estudiantes Madrid and made his EuroCup debut with the team at 17, during the 2010-11 season.
In the past, Fernandez has been a regular member of the Spanish national team at both the junior and senior levels and has won gold medals at the U16 and U18 European Championships in 2009 and 2011 respectively, and a bronze medal at the U20 European Championships in 2013.
