Crvena Zvezda announced the acquisition of American guard Billy Baron. The player signed a contract for the 2018-2019 season with the Serbian club.
Baron becomes the first signing of Crvena Zvezda ahead of the upcoming season, under newly hired head coach Milan Tomic. The 27-year-old player arrives in Belgrade following a one-year stint in Turkey with Eskisehir. In 2017-2018, Baron averaged 15.6 points (shooting with 44.3% from the 3-point line), 3.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game in the Turkish League.
With Red Star, Baron will return to EuroCup where he previously played with Lietuvos Rytas, Spirou Charleroi, and Ucam Murcia. He will also debut in the ABA League and Serbian League.
