One of the standouts of last season’s Euroleague and former NBA player Dorell Wright will continue his career in Russia, as Eurohoops had reported.
According to the EuroCup press release:
7DAYS EuroCup runner-up Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar bolstered its frontcourt by bringing in power forward Dorell Wright on a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Wright (2.06 meters, 32 years old) made his European debut last season. In 27 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances for Brose Bamberg, he posted 11.6 points on 42.2% three-point shooting, along with 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists. His 4.6 defensive rebounds per game ranked second best in the EuroLeague. Wright averaged 14.5 points on 47% three-point accuracy and pulled 5.7 rebounds per game in the German League. At the start of last season, Wright briefly played with Igokea Aleksandrovac of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He spent the majority of his career in the NBA, including parts of seven seasons with Miami. Wright was a member of Miami’s NBA championship squad in 2006. He also played two seasons with Golden State, two with Portland and one with Philadelphia as well as one season in China with Beikong Fly Dragons.
