French center Moustapha Fall is the primary target of Lokomotiv Kuban for the vacant “5” position on the team’s roster, according to Eurohoops sources. The player is the first option by the Russian club that wants to pair American big Jamel McLean with a different type of center.
Fall, 26, spent the previous season in Turkey with Sakarya Buyuksehir. In 27 games of the Turkish BSL regular season, Fall averaged 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while his team advanced to the playoffs for the first time in the history of the club. In 2016-2017, Fall was named the Best Defender in the French Pro A, en route to helping Elan Chalon win the championship title.
If Fall signs with Lokomotiv Kuban, he’ll make his debut in both EuroCup and VTB League next season.
