Valencia signed French forward/center Louis Labeyrie to a two-year contract, the club announced. By joining Valencia, Labeyrie ventures outside of France for the first time in his career.
Labeyrie, 26, spent the previous season with Strasbourg. He averaged 11.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1 assist per game in the Basketball Champions League, earning a spot in the competition’s Star Lineup for 2017-2018.
With Valencia, where he will be a teammate with fellow French player Antoine Diot, Labeyrie will debut in ACB and return to EuroCup for the first time since 2014-2015.
Labeyrie’s NBA rights are owned by the Indiana Pacers that selected him with the 57th overall pick in the 2014 Draft.
