ASVEL Villeurbanne has signed center Miro Bilan to a two-year deal, the club announced Monday.
Bilan, 29, arrives from fellow French League competitor SIG Strasbourg with which he posted 13.1 points and 6.2 rebounds in 28 games this past season.
The Croatian big man has spent most of his career with Cedevita (from 2011 to 2017) and was crowned domestic champion for four consecutive seasons (2014-17).
ASVEL’s Director of Basketball Operations, Nicolas Batum, commented the following after the signing: “We are very happy to welcome Miro Bilan for two seasons. He is a very big player, with European experience and versatility that will serve the team a lot. His game intelligence and his low post skills will be real assets for us.”
