Lokomotiv Kuban is in advanced talks and close to a deal with combo guard Isaiah Whitehead, per Eurohoops sources.
Whitehead, 23, spent the previous season between Long Island Nets of the G-League on loan from Brooklyn Nets and played in 14 games with the latter, in which he averaged 6.3 points and 1.3 assists over 11 minutes on the court.
If the deal is finally reached, Whitehead could be a great boost to the Russian team’s backcourt, that’s aiming for a big move ahead of the upcoming season.
Whitehead was selected with the 42nd overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz and was shortly after traded to the Nets.
