Galatasaray wants to acquire American former NBA swingman Hollis Thompson, according to Eurohoops sources.
Thompson already has an offer of $300K by the Turkish club but has yet to give an answer, sources also told Eurohoops. If the two sides strike a deal then the player will stay in Europe after spending the previous season with Olympiacos in Greece.
With Olympiacos, Thompson averaged 5.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game his debut EuroLeague season. He struggled with finding sufficient playing time in Olympiacos‘ rotation, averaging 15 minutes per game in EuroLeague. He was then cut from the team’s Greek League roster due to the restricted number (6) of foreign players.
Thompson carries the experience of 265 NBA games with the Philadelphia 76ers (mainly) and the New Orleans Pelicans.
