As ‘Basketball Sphere‘ reported, Nikola Jovanovic has been moved to Dolomiti Trento and thus will play one year in the Italian League and the 7DAYS EuroCup competition with the Italian team.
The 24-year old signed a three-year deal with Crvena Zvezda last summer, but for the next season, he will play for Trento, because he did not show up in Red Star‘s first practice. Jovanovic will return to Belgrade and Red Star in 2019.
In 16 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, Jovanovic averaged 3.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.
Also, Crvena Zvezda’s pre-season started on Monday, and Nemanja Dangubic did not attend the practice, meaning that he will not extend his contract with Belgrade’s team. Buducnost VOLI reportedly offered him a deal, but Dangubic rejected it due to the rivalry between Crvena Zvezda and Buducnost. However, he is expected to sign an agreement with a EuroLeague team.
Finally, according to ‘Mozzart Sport‘ Milenko Topic, who had been Crvena Zvezda’s head coach once Alimpijevic’s left the organization will remain in the team, as an assistant coach.
