Galatasaray signed American power forward Nigel Hayes to a one-year deal, the Turkish club announced. Hayes will thus continue his career in Turkey where he will play in both EuroCup and BSL.
Hayes, 23, spent 2017-2018, the first season of his professional career, with multiple squads. After going undrafted, he signed with the New York Knicks only to be waived and join the Westchester Knicks in G-League. He later signed a ten-day contract with the L.A.Lakers with which he made his NBA debut in January.
The Toronto Raptors then penned Hayes to two 10-day NBA contracts. After a return to the Westchester Knicks, the player signed with the Sacramento Kings for the remainder of the season in March. In five matches with the Kings, he averaged 3.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
