AS Monaco Basket kicked off their EuroCup season with an 80-68 win against Brescia mostly thanks to Elmedin Kikanovic who led his squad with game-high 20 points.
Monaco created the crucial double-digit advantage in the first quarter (24-14) and kept the distance until the halftime (43-36). They kept increasing the lead throughout the third period to as much as 15 points (65-50) and safely brought the game to the end.
Kikanovic received some help from Gerald Robinson who added 16 points while Paule Lacombe scored 13. For Brescia, Jordan Hamilton scored 16 in addition to Bryon Allen’s 13 points.
Two games in Group A were played yesterday as Galatasaray and Crvena Zvezda sealed victories at the start of the new EuroCup season.
