Crvena Zvezda made the 2/2 in the EuroCup regular season by defeating AS Monaco 66 – 69 thanks to a fourth-quarter comeback.
Monaco entered the final period up 44 – 37 but Red Star got unleashed to balance the game. Joe Ragland had a key 3-pointer for the 61 – 64 and his team got the win.
Ragland had 13 points, as many as Stratos Perperoglou while Billy Baron scored 12. Elmedin Kikanovic dropped 20 points for Monaco.
In Germany, an epic double-overtime battle took place between hosts Ratiopharm Ulm and Galatasaray. In the end, Ulm prevailed 103 – 92 behind Ismet Akpinar’s 26 points plus four assists. Isaac Fotu 19 points and eight rebounds while Javonte Green had 16 points, seven rebounds and six (!) steals.
Nigel Hayes had a stunning double-double of 26 points/13 rebounds but his, Marko Arapovic’s (20 points, six rebounds) and Tal Webster’s (16 points, 10 assists) efforts weren’t enough for Galatasaray.
A high-scoring match was also in store courtesy of Andorra and Leonessa Brescia. With Reggie Upshaw scoring 25 points, Andorra registered its first win this season in the competition this season by beating their opponents 110 – 94.
