Unics Kazan remained the only undefeated team in EuroCup Group D after prevailing 92 – 78 over Fiat Turin.
Raymar Morgan had a season-high 25 points plus six rebounds for 34 PIR to pace the winning squad. Errick McCollum added 15 points and Maurice N’Dour 14 points and six boards.
For Turin, that is still without head coach Larry Brown, Tekele Cotton scored 18 points and Tyshawn Taylor 15. The Italian team remains winless in the Group after the first set of matches.
Meanwhile, in Montenegro and Topolica Sport Hall Giorgi Shermadini (26 points, seven rebounds) and Unicaja Malaga proved too much for Mornar Bar. The Spanish team won 96 – 85 to capture its second victory in a row following the loss to Rytas Vilnius in Game 1.
Bronson Storm Koenig stood out from Mornar Bar with 19 points.
The upset of the week arrived courtesy of Fraport Skyliners that defeated Rytas Vilnius 70 – 61 on the road thanks to some powerful defense and Erik Murphy’s (24 points, nine rebounds) output.
DJ Seeley (19 points) was the best that Rytas had to offer.
