ASVEL Villeurbanne improved its EuroCup record to 3-1 by defeating Partizan Belgrade 89 – 78 on the road for Round 4 of the Group Stage, in what was a game of personal records for two players of the French team.
Charles Kahudi registered a EuroCup career-high 21 points to go with his five rebounds while Mantas Kalnietis also notched a EuroCup personal best in assists thanks to the 10 he dished out for a double-double that also included 11 points.
Partizan fell behind 39 – 53 at the beginning of the second half and never recovered from that deficit. Jock Landale (12 points, six rebounds), Marcus Paige (11 points, six rebounds, four assists) and Djordje Gagic (10 points, six rebounds, four assists) were the top contributors for the Serbian team that is now 1-3 in Group C.
In the other Group C game held tonight (23/10), Turk Telekom grabbed the first EuroCup win in the history of the club by downing Dolomiti Energia Trento 81 – 77 on the road behind 23 points and five assists by T.J. Campbell.
Diego Flaccadori scored 17 points and grabbed five rebounds for Trento that saw head coach Maurizio Buscaglia getting ejected near the end of the match. Trento fell to 1-3 with this result.
