Peyton Siva posted a career-high 27 points and dished out eight assists leading Alba Berlin to an 82 – 68 victory over Asseco Gdynia in Round 4 of the EuroCup regular season.
Alba needed Siva to step up big time down the stretch to defeat the tough Polish side. Siva scored 12 of his points in the final period which Alba dominated 28 – 15 to take the win and improve its Group B record to 3-1.
Martin Hermannsson scored 16 points while Rokas Giedraitis had 12 points plus five rebounds for Alba.
Despite the efforts of Josh Bostic (18 points) and Marcel Pontika (13 points, six assists) Gdynia couldn’t keep up with its opponents in the fourth quarter and remained winless.
Meanwhile in France, Isaiah Miles (23 points, seven rebounds) pushed Limoges to the 2-2 in Group B thanks to a 89 – 82 win over Tofas Bursa. The Turkish team is now 1-3.
