Leonessa Brescia came back from 10 points down in the fourth period to beat AS Monaco 86 – 80 on the road and win its second game in the EuroCup regular season.
Monaco was up 72 – 62 early in the fourth period but Brescia scored 17 points in the next five minutes to go up 75 – 79. The hosts last connected to the basket to make it 80 – 83, one minute before the end of the match and free throws by Bryon Allen and Luca Vitali sealed the final result.
Allen scored a game-high 22 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists in a diverse contribution. Vitali added 17 points plus five assists in the second comeback win for Brescia after the one vs. Crvena Zvezda.
Yakuba Ouattara had 19 points and Jarrod Jones 17 for Monaco that dropped to 4-2.
Thanks to an imposing double-double by Dwayne Evans (23 points, 11 rebounds) plus 21 points by Patrick Miller, Ratiopharm Ulm forced Crvena Zvezda to its second loss of the season, 95 – 80.
Ognjen Dobric posted career-high 22 points, five rebounds, 26 PIR for Red Star.
The last Round 5 game for the Group was an exciting game. Andorra beat Galatasaray 95 – 87 in overtime (18-13), behind 20 points plus eight rebounds by Moussa Diagne, plus Andrew Albicy’s 18 points and David Jelinek 17.
Nigel Hayes scored 20, Aaron Harrison had 19 points, six assists and six rebounds and Tal Webster 18 points. The latter was also the one to force the extra period.
