Just days after the post of Brandon Jennings about lessons learned in Russia, Zenit St. Petersburg announced that they are parting ways with the veteran point guard.
According to the 7DAYS EuroCup press release: Zenit St. Petersburg announced an agreement with guard Brandon Jennings for an early termination of their contract.
29-year-old Jennings averaged 9 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists in five 7DAYS EuroCup games this season. He leaves ranked second in the regular season in average assists, with Zenit holding a 4-3 record.
Jennings barely missed a triple-double – 20 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists – in his first game in the competition, a home win against Turk Telekom Ankara. He also had a season-high 13 assists in a VTB League game against Enisey Krasnoyarsk.
