Andorra defended its home court and got the 86-80 win over Unics Kazan, their main opponent for the top of the group standings. French guard Andrew Albicy was the hero of the night with 21 points and crucial plays down the stretch, while John Shurna added 12 points.
Pierria Henry had a great all-around game for the guests with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals, but it was not enough for the road win.
Earlier in the day, Zenit St. Petersburg dominated the second half and prevailed over Cedevita Zagreb with 98-84. Sergey Karasev with 19 points and Marko Simonovic with 18 led a balanced offensive effort against the duo of Jakob Pullen (18 p.) and Justin Cobbs (16 p.). Cedevita is the only team without a win so far in the group.
