Valencia beat Unicaja Malaga 72 – 69 in a dramatic finale and mathematically won the top spot in EuroCup’s Group G.
Matt scored a team-high 18 points in 24 minutes for Valencia while Bojan Dubljevic scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds. They and their teammates forced Malaga to just 10 points in the game’s last 12 minutes to get the win.
Jaime Fernandez dropped a game-high 20 points and dished out six assists for Malaga that fought for potentially landing first place in the Group. The Andalusian squad had mathematically sealed a quarterfinals spot after Crvena Zvezda‘s loss on the road to Limoges.
