The EuroCup quarterfinal stage was concluded Wednesday (14/3) and the semifinals of the competition are now set.
Unics Kazan, Alba Berlin, and Morabanc Andorra joined already qualified Valencia to complete the four teams that will fight for a spot in the Finals. The EuroCup winner will be granted a ticket to the 2019-2020 EuroLeague.
Andorra managed a historic first qualification to the semifinals by defeating ASVEL Villeurbanne on the road in a Game 3 thriller. Alba notched two wins in a row to overcome the home loss in Game 1 vs. Unicaja Malaga while Unics beat fellow Russian powerhouse Lokomotiv Kuban.
The Semifinal pairings are as follows:
Alba Berlin – Morabanc Andorra
Valencia – Unics Kazan
Alba and Valencia have homecourt advantage in the best-of-three semifinal series.
