Tyrese Rice, the MVP of last season’s Euroleague Final Four, had 28 points for Khimki in the 93-89 win over Banvit, as the Russian team got the ticket to the Eurocup finals.
Banvit had won the first game by one point (93-92), but Khimki had total control of the second contest from the get go, never lost the lead after the first quarter and had a double digits advantage (83-72) with five minutes to go. The guests managed to stay close, however they couldn’t get into striking distance at any point. Sammy Mejia had 25 points for Banvit, which tried its best in its first ever Eurocup semifinals participation.
