With the merge of Olimpija Ljubljana and Cevevita Zagreb being officially announced today, the name of Slovenian basketball legend Sani Becirovic emerged as a candidate for the general manager position of the club, according to “Basketball Sphere“.
A EuroLeague champion in 2007 with Panathinaikos under coach Zeljko Obradovic, the 38 years old Becirovic has the basketball know-how to be part of the management, together with Davor Uzbinec which according to the report will remain the head of the financial sector and of course Cedevita president Emil Tedeschi.
Becirovic currently manages his own basketball academy which flourished into a local club in Slovenia and he seems ready for the next step in his career.
