While ASVEL will represent France in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague via a two-year license, three more teams will have the chance to hunt a Euroleague spot in the 2020-21 season.
As “L’Equipe” has reported, Monaco, Nanterre, and Limoges will play in the 7DAYS EuroCup, while Dijon, Strasbourg, and Pau-Lacq-Orthez will compete in the Basketball Champions League.
However, it’s important to note that, according to Eurohoops sources, the trio of Dijon, Strasbourg, and Orthez have also pre-registered to the EuroCup.
Euroleague Basketball picked the trio of Monaco and Nanterre which are currently competing in the French league’s semifinals, while Limoges which finished seventh in the French league regular season, received a wildcard.
The formal confirmation is expected to come in the next few weeks after the full teams’ roster for next season is confirmed by the EuroCup board.
