Virtus Bologna General Manager Manager Luca Baraldi talked about the club signing Serbian superstar Milos Teodosic and the salary that the player will get.
“The Teodosic negotiation. Harsh. A delicate negotiation,” Baraldi said to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, per Bologna Basket. “We were talking to him for two months, just after Sasha Djordjevic became our head coach. He told us to go talk with him and he spoke with Milos.”
“He will get just over five million in salaries plus a bonus if we go to EuroLeague,” Baraldi added. “This, however, is marginal. I think the pay package is already rewarding.”
Bologna will compete in the 2019-2020 EuroCup apart from the Italian League. According to the new EuroLeague allocating criteria, the 2020 EuroCup finalist will get a ticket to the 2020-2021 EuroLeague, apart from the champion of the competition.
Teodosic, a former EuroLeague MVP, All-EuroLeague selection and champion, returns to Europe after a two-year stint with the L.A. Clippers.
