After joining AS Monaco midway through the 2018-19 season, Eric Buckner signed with the French team for the upcoming campaign. The 7DAYS EuroCup side informed via press release on the 29-year-old American center’s contract extension on Tuesday.
“I am happy to stay with Monaco” he said after signing his new contract and looked back on his side’s defeat in the Jeep Elite Pro A Finals adding: “We were so close to our goal in the end of the last season. I feel like we have unfinished business.”
“EuroCup is also on my mind. We made a good run last year, but I believe we can go even further.” Buckner mentioned commenting on his upcoming second EuroCup campaign.
His first saw him taking part in 6 games with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and in seven more with Monaco, he joined in December. He averaged 7.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks in those 13 matches.
