Frank Gaines joined Segafredo Virtus Bologna, the Italian team informed via press release on Thursday.
“I can not wait to start this new adventure. I am very happy” the 29-year-old American mentioned and added: “The only thing I want is to start as soon as possible and win wearing the colors of Segafredo Virtus Bologna.”
The Fort Wayne alumni made his way to Italy for the first time in 2014 and returned last season playing for Acqua S.Bernardo Cantu. He averaged 20.3 points, 3.2 rebounds in 2.6 assists during the 2018-19 season. Other European stops in his professional career were made in Russia, Germany and Poland.
