Yakuba Ouattara is back for one more campaign with AS Monaco, his fifth, the French team announced on Thursday. His new contract is for the 2019-20 season. “I am very happy I re-signed with Monaco” the 27-year-old Ghanaian-French guard mentioned.
“I feel right a home” he added and went on: “Monaco is a very ambitious club. It is very motivating to learn from a coach like Sasa Obradovic. He has a philosophy of the highest level. Playing for him is almost like playing in the EuroLeague.”
He is now set for his third 7DAYS EuroCup campaign and second with his current team. In 14 games of the 2018-19 edition of the tournament he averaged 10.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists. Ouattara also notched 11.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in the Jeep Elite Regular Season, added 12.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in the Playoffs.
