Stefan Markovic close to deal with Virtus Bologna

Segafredo Virtus Bologna is not done just yet. Serbian guard Stefan Markovic is close to a 1+1 deal with the Italian team, according to Eurohoops sources.

Coming off his fourth EuroLeague campaign, Markovic is now on his way to Italy and Virtus Bologna. He made his LBA Serie A debut back in the 2010-11 season with Benetton Treviso.

The 31-year-old Serbian guard spent his last couple of season with Khimki Moscow Region. Last year he averaged 6.1 points, 4.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds per EuroLeague contest, had 6.3 points, 5 assists and 3.2 rebounds per VTB United League game.

The Basketball Champions League title holders have already added Milos Teodosic, Frank Gaines, Vince Hunter, Kyle Weems, Julian Gamble and Giampaolo Ricci ahead of the 2019-20 edition of 7DAYS EuroCup.
