Ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, 7DAYS EuroCup picked the Top 10 signings of the summer. The list includes familiar faces with plenty of European and EuroLeague experience.
Per EuroCup:
Over 100 players will compete in the 7DAYS EuroCup for the first time this season and nearly as many will return to compete in the competition after some time away. All 24 teams aim to be better than last season and to that end they all added players geared to lifting their respective squads. From those dozens of signings, let’s highlight 10 of the very best, which can be counted on to make this EuroCup season one to remember.
10. Kim Tillie, AS Monaco
Monaco comes off a strong EuroCup debut season and knew that it would need experienced players to keep getting better. Bringing in Tillie is a win-win situation for both sides. After several seasons as a role player and at age 31, Tillie will have a major role in Monaco, with more playing time and responsibilities, while playing closer to home; his hometown Cagnes-sur-Mer is barely 35 Km from Monaco. The club gets a stretch big man with unlimited shooting range who can power the boards, run the floor and be one of Monaco’s locker room leaders.
9. Scott Bamforth, Buducnost VOLI Podgorica
Buducnost comes off a good season in which a lack of offensive firepower was one of the reasons the team didn’t do even better. That problem is solved by bringing in Bamforth, a great shooter with unlimited range, who has been deadly in crunch time. A great rebounder for a player his size and weight, Bamforth plays with great heart and determination. He could quickly become a fan favorite for Buducnost fans, one shot at a time. Expect him to surprise a lot of people.
