Dolomiti Energia Trento’s third 7DAYS EuroCup campaign will feature Alessandro Gentile. The Italian club confirmed recent reports on its deal with the 26-year-old swingman with a press release on Thursday noting that the Italian international inked a two-year contract.
Gentile spent last season in the ACB with Movistar Estudiantes. He averaged 15.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest in his first year at Spain. Afterwards traveled to China for the 2019 FIBA World Cup and notched 8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for Italy.
Besides EuroCup, the Italian international will make his LBA Serie A comeback. He marked his 2017-18 campaign with Segafredo Virtus Bologna, previously played for Olimpia Milano trough 2011 to 2017 after launching his career in 2009 with Benetton Treviso.
His previous experience includes 80 EuroLeague affairs, 71 for Milan and the other nine with Panathinaikos. In EuroCup, Gentile played 25 games with Treviso and four more with Milan with overall averages of 9 points and 3.1 rebounds per appearance.
“I am very happy with the addition of Alessandro. He is a player of great value and will help us in our long campaigns in Italy and EuroCup,” notes Trento’s head coach Nicola Brienza, “He is still young, but has massive experience at the highest level.”
