Promitheas Patras has reached a deal with American guard Gerald Robinson according to Eurohoops sources.
Robinson, 30, had been a free agent after completing the 2018-2019 season with AS Monaco. He played two years with the French club and averaged 9.3 points, 1.9 assists, 1.8 rebounds in 10 games of last season’s EuroCup.
In 2018, Robinson helped Monaco make the Basketball Champions League Final. The player posted 15.1 points, 3.2 assists and 3.1 rebounds in the competition.
Apart from Monaco, Robinson has played for such teams as Alba Berlin, Nanterre and VEF Riga. By signing with Promitheas, the former Georgia Bulldogs player will compete in the Greek League for the first time in his career.
Promitheas comes off a win over EuroCup title contender Virtus Bologna. The Greek team is 3-1 in Group A of the regular season and very close to advance to the next stage in the club’s first appearance in the competition.
