Partizan Belgrade captured its fourth win in four EuroCup games by defeating Lokomotiv Kuban 80 – 71 at home. The Serbian team has gained an upper hand in the battle for first place in Group B since Lokomotiv dropped to 2-2.
Rashawn Thomas scored 17 points while William Moseley posted 11 points and nine rebounds for Partizan that had an 8 – 0 run in the final three minutes of the game to get the victory. Lokomotiv had entered the fourth period up 57 – 58 but was outplayed by the hosts down the stretch.
Will Cummings (17 points, seven assists), Sam Dekker (17 points) were the two players that caused most trouble to Partizan, as coach Andrea Trinchieri admitted post game, along with Alan Williams (15 points, 10 rebounds).
In the second Group B match held Tuesday (22/10), Austin Daye and Mike Bramos posted 20 points and seven rebounds apiece as Reyer Venezia beat Limoges 93 – 85 to improve its record to 2-2. The French side fell to 1-3.
