Mitchell Watt scored 27 points on 11/12 2-pointers, grabbed five rebounds and dished out five assists for 37 PIR to lead Reyer Venezia to an 83 – 69 road win over Partizan Belgrade. It was the Serbian side’s first defeat in EuroCup, six rounds into the regular season.

Despite the defeat, Partizan remains at the top of Group B. Venezia improved its record to 4-2 and climbed to the second place of Group B thanks to Watt’s efforts plus Austin Daye (13 points, five rebounds), Jeremy Chappell (12 points) and Ike Udanoh (10 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists).

Rashawn Thomas (18 points) was the only player in double figures from Partizan. The hosts were outscored 9 – 25 in the third quarter and Venezia retained its advantage for the remainder of the match.

Earlier on Tuesday (5/11), Rytas Vilnius delivered the upset over contender Lokomotiv Kuban with an 87 – 82 win in Krasnodar, behind 16 points and six assists by Evaldas Kairys. Both teams are now 2-7.

Eimantas Bendzius added 12 points for the winning squad. Dmitry Kulagin had 18 points plus six assists and Sam Dekker 16 points plus five rebounds (and a nasty dunk) for Loko.
