Lokomotiv Kuban announced the addition of Mindaugas Kuzminskas with a two-year contract on Monday, confirming prior reports of the deal.
Kuzminskas started the season with Olympiacos and parted ways with the team this past weekend. He posted 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in six EuroLeague games this season.
“In the summer, I signed a contract with Olympiacos, where David Blatt personally invited me. I really liked the team, the team, the ability to play under the guidance of this coach. But, unfortunately, as we know, everything changed overnight. With the change of coach, my position in the club has changed a lot. They no longer corresponded to my ambitions”, commented Kuzminskas upon his signing with the Russian club. “The main factor in my decision to move to Krasnodar is that Lokomotiv is competitive”.
