Buducnost came back from down 13 points and made a 0-14 run in three minutes during the third quarter to defeat Dolomiti Energia Trento 76 – 69 on the road and capture its first win of the 2019-2020 EuroCup.
This result keeps Buducnost’s hopes of punching a Top 16 ticket alive. Meanwhile, Trento dropped to 3 – 4 and lost ground in the qualification race.
Hassan Martin scored a season-high 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds for 29 PIR to pace Buducnost. Danilo Nikolic added 13 points, Martins Meiers 11 points and Nikola Ivanovic 10 points and five assists. Justin Cobbs dished out 11 assists while scoring five points.
James Blackmon had 16 points for Trento and Rashard Kelly posted 12 points and seven boards. The Italian team was up 33 – 20 in the second period but its opponents proceeded to catch up and then dominate the third quarter 8 – 31. Buducnost entered the final lap up 49 – 64 and held on despite scoring just one point in the last four minutes of the match.
