Luca Banchi and Lokomotiv Kuban have agreed for the early termination of their contract, Russian outlet Izvestia reports. Wednesday’s 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 7 game opposite to Umana Reyer Venice in Italy was likely the last one with the 54-year-old Italian on the Russian club’s bench.
Banchi took over the helm about four months ago in July, since led Loko to two wins in its first seven EuroCup games. As for the VTB United League, the team based in Krasnodar is currently 3-2.
Lokomotiv Kuban is reportedly already in search for its next head coach.
UPDATE: Lokomotiv Kuban announced that Luca Banchi is no longer the team’s coach.
Спасибо, Лука! «Локомотив-Кубань» и главный тренер Лука Банки приняли решение о прекращении сотрудничества.
