Michael Bramos posted a strong 28-point performance as Umana Reyer Venice defeated Tofas Bursa 80-73 on the road and sealed its Top 16 ticket in Round 8 with its sixth straight victory.
Tofas can still hope to make it through the next phase with its current 4-4 record, though winning both remaining games in the regular season is a must in such a competitive group.
Partizan also entered the Top 16-qualified teams, as they defeated Rytas Vilnius 86-81 at home in a challenging game. Rade Zagorac led the Serbian team’s efforts in scoring with 17 points, while Eimantas Bendzius posted 15 points for Rytas.
Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar managed to keep Limoges CSP in check and grabbed a 92-77 victory on the road, paced by Johnny O’Bryant, who finished the game with 24 points. Lokomotiv improved to a 3-5 record, though can still have hopes provided they win both remaining games.
