Galatasaray Doga Sigorta made an addition to its 2019-20 squad confirming recent reports on signing Alex Poythress. The 26-year-old American forward will replace Ben Moore in Ertugrul Erdogan’s roster.

Last August, Poythress signed with the Jilin Northeast Tigers of China’s CBA, but ultimately made his move to Europe. The Kentucky alumni previously played in 52 NBA matches between the Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers.

His first European experience will drive him to 7DAYS EuroCup’s Top 16 as his new team has already secured a spot in the next round with a 5-3 W-L tally. As for Turkey’s Super Ligi, Galatasaray is 6-3.
