Thanks to the excellent shooting night of Milos Teodosic, who scored 25 points in total and made five threes, Virtus Bologna got the 81-72 road win over AS Monaco and finished on top of Group A standings with an 8-2 record.
Monaco had a great start, leading by 13 after the end of the first period (24-11). However, Virtus was trailing by five at halftime (35-30) and had a three-point lead at the end of the third (56-53).
Teodosic scored 12 of his points in the second quarter to start the comeback and also made big plays down the stretch to keep Virtus on the lead. The best that Monaco could do was to make it a four-point game (69-65) with three minutes left.
Kyle Weems added 17 points for the winning side, while Eric Buckner had 12 points for Monaco, which finished the regular season with a solid 7-3 record.
In Patras, Promitheas was defeated at home by Morabanc Andorra by 14 points (80-66). Six players scored in double-digits for the winning side with David Walker leading the charge with 16 points. However, both teams have qualified to the Top16 and with the winners having a 7-3 record and Promitheas being fourth in the final Group A standings with a 6-4 record.
