EWE Baskets defended its homecourt and prevailed over Reyer Venice 98-87 in Round 1 of 7DAYS EuroCup’s Top 16.
Rasid Mahalbasic played a key role for the German team in this victory, as he flirted with nearly triple-double figures with 25 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. An MVP-like performance that helped Oldenburg reach the victory.
The home team made its breakthrough in the third quarter, as they grabbed an 81-63 lead by the end of the period and was able to maintain it until the end of the game.
Venice’s Mike Bramos paced the team with 14 points, five assists.
Earlier this week, Germani Brescia Leonessa defeated Promitheas Patras at home 63-57 to start of the Top 16 round with a win.
