Valencia announced that guard Jordan Loyd will be sidelined for five weeks due to a fracture on his right foot. The American player had discomfort on his foot in the Spanish ACB League game against UCAM Murcia and the examinations he underwent revealed the full extent of the damage.
Loyd will miss the Copa Del Rey tournament plus at least four of Valencia’s games in EuroLeague.

Valencia Basket shooting guard Jordan Loyd is expected to be sidelined for five weeks due to a broken foot, the club announced on Friday. Loyd, who is a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague rookie this season, finished a recent Spanish League game with problems with his right foot. He underwent tests, which revealed that Loyd has a stress fracture in the scaphoid bone of his right foot. As such, after already missing his team’s Round 21 road game against CSKA Moscow, Loyd expected to be sidelined for five more weeks, missing Valencia’s four EuroLeague games in February. He is averaging 11.1 points on 42.9% three-point shooting and 2.4 assists in 18 EuroLeague games this season as Valencia’s second-best scorer.
