Crvena Zvezda announced that the club and forward/center Mouhammad Faye have parted ways. Faye was a Red Star player since 2018.
“Red star gave me new opportunities in my career, a chance to win trophies and an opportunity to play in EuroLeague,” Faye said per the website of Crvena Zvezda. “I will remember the ABA League and championship titles in Serbia. I’d like to thank the staff, coaches, people in the club and of course the fans who made me feel special. It was a beautiful journey. I wish Red Star good luck in the future and many more trophies.”
With Crvena Zvezda, Faye won the 2019 ABA League and Serbian League titles plus the 2018 ABA Supercup. The Senegalese big man was named MVP of the latter.
