Xavi Pascual inked a contract with Zenit Saint-Petersburg up to the conclusion of the 2019-20 season, according to Mundo Deportivo. Friday’s report states that the announcement will come in the following hours.
The 47-year-old Spaniard was the frontrunner to replace recently dismissed Joan Plaza. He has been without a team since Panathinaikos let him go in December 2018.
Zenit is currently at the bottom of the EuroLeague table with a 7-17 W-L tally. A 6-10 record is good enough for tenth place in the VTB United League.
