Maccabi Tel Aviv is in discussions with the Israeli Ministry of Health to host the upcoming EuroLeague game against Baskonia Thursday (12/2) in Tel Aviv and not outside the country, according to a report by One.
The Israeli Ministry of Health has ordered 14-day quarantines for arrivals from Spain plus France, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, due to the coronavirus outbreak. Furthermore, it has banned all indoor gatherings of 5,000 people, or more. Per One, Maccabi is asking for an arrangement to be made according to which Baskonia will remain in isolation during its stay in Israel and leave the hotel only for the game.
Maccabi was considering options to host Baskonia in Serbia, Greece or Cyprus.
